TERRI CHIAO
Terri Chiao is the brilliant architectural goddess behind this beautiful studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She is also the cofounder of KatzChiao, a design and research collaborative based in New York City and Boston, and one of the brilliant minds behind A Home of One’s Own. To see more photos of her space, visit the A Cabin in a Loft tumblr. The above images were taken by Michael Mundy for his blog An Afternoon With…
ADAM’S ABODE
It’s been a little while since I posted some House Porn and this studio apartment was too dang good not to share. I absolutely dig Adam’s aesthetic. The curtain partition, hanging plants, and, of course, that yellow chevron wall. Inspiration for my future home much? Thanks, Adam!
KIMI AND PAUL HOUSE TOUR
Believe it or not but this post has been in my virtual drafts box for months and months without seeing the light of day. Not too sure why. Anyhoo, since I had some extra time on my hands over the weekend I decided to go through some of my old drafts and put them into production. This beautiful home featured in Design*Sponge‘s Sneak Peek really caught my eye. I love the colors, the mismatched furniture in the rooms, and that apron sink. Oh, and the duck lamp! From the Design*Sponge post about the homeowners:
Kimi Weart and Paul Galloway are a creative couple of artists. Kimi owns A Printable Press, which creates customized print-ready stationery, and runs the blog Field Papers, while Paul works in MOMA’s design and architecture department.

HEY GIRL
I just had to repost this from Apartment Therapy. Hey Girl!
“Hey girl. It’s me, Ryan. I’m apparently having a really good year. I’ve had a few movies hit the theaters, did you catch any of them? I also broke up a street fight and inspired a protest when Bradley Cooper was chosen as People’s Sexiest Man of the Year (no disrespect, he’s a handsome gent). Anyway, some of my stylish outfits inspired this post. Enjoy.”

Melt melt melt. Ever since the Notebook this dude’s had a little piece of my heart. The home decor in these photos isn’t really my thing, but I just love how they’ve found a special place for each super special photograph of the beautiful man. Check out the Hey Girl posts if you haven’t before (the first quote will make much more sense if you do). They’re a hoot! Also, I wasn’t so sure about Bradley Cooper and then I saw this video. More melting.

Copenhagen Loft
As crowded and busy as I like my rooms to be, I have an appreciation for minimalism. This loft in Copenhagen caught my eye, not just because of its Scandinavian aesthetic, but because of the little pops of color that further brighten its rooms.

House Wellington 7C
I saw this beautiful apartment on Miss Moss and I had to re-share it. This space is only 540 square feet and located far far away in Cape Town. I especially like the open layout and the beautiful loft. What do you think?

The Home of Beatrice Valenzuela and Family
I recently discovered a site my mom would love. It’s called Apartment Therapy and has many awesome features including virtual house tours!
One of the many things Mutti and I have in common is our love for interior design and our curiosity about how people choose to outfit their spaces. This site gives you a little peek into the homes of some pretty interesting people, if their décor reveals anything about their personality. Mom, this particular link is for you. Less the décor and more the overall design of the house (plus apron sink and deck furniture!).
Below is a home that I find really beautiful and inspiring. It belongs to hairdresser and shoe designer Beatrice Valenzuela, and is colorful, filled with natural light, and comfortably classy.

I’ve decided to start a new category of posts called House Porn, which will no doubt be images or video of homes that I find desirable (wink wink nudge nudge–excuse the vulgarity). I hope you enjoy them too!
